Façade Concepts takes a weighted average approach to thermal performance, evaluating typical and pertinent sections of the wall’s design on a section-by-section basis and compiling these into a selected overall area. The effective contribution of each section to the combined area is dependent upon its relative percentage of the sample area which allows these sample areas to be extrapolated to a larger project-specific evaluation.
